Rainwater deflector cill
Available in white and 850mm (85cm) in length, this weather bar which fits on the cill or threshold end of the door prevents rain from building up into your property. This item is primarily inteded for use on doors that open inwards, but it can be used as an additional feature on doors opening outwards.
Quick and easy to fit instructions:
1) Draw a horizontal straight line on the outside face of the door where the weather bar is to be fitted
2) If required cut down to length with a saw.
3) Cut down the fixing rail by 2cm than the PVC weather bar.
3) Equally mark out the 4 fixing screw positions along the fixing rail
4) Drill 3mm holes through the fixing rail.
5) Position the fixing rail to the line and screw into position with self screwing screws (supplied). Ensure that the flat side of the fixing rail is facing outwards.
6) Keeping the door open, simply slide the PVC weather bar along the fixing rail and position centrally.
For best result: cut the weather bar 5-10mm short from the inward part of the door frame, so that there a small gap on either side of the weather bar. This is in case your door drops and requires adjustment. Also, the bottom of the drip bar should be about 15mm above the highest part of the bottom of the threshold that the door seals to when closed. This allows for any expansion or movement you may experience over the years.
